big ol' tree string art!

So I'm a terrible blogger. I had these pictures pulled up on Photoshop for days and haven't edited them until now. You've seen this before though, from the last post about the art show..

the ginormous Tree String Art!

I've been calling this shape the "Toomer's Tree string art", but I found at the art show that a lot of people were just tree enthusiasts. Therefore I only mentioned Auburn or Toomer's Corner if someone said something like "aww, it's like the Toomer's Corner tree" in which I would respond: actually, that's why I did these!

I take pretty much all of my product pictures in front of the door on my hardwood floor. If you've picked up on this, you'd notice the planks are around 2" wide (2.25" to be exact bc this piece is 16 planks wide). Smaller stuff I post may look bigger, but you can always tell by those. Anywho, this baby is 36"x36".

In case you can't tell the scale from the wood planks, here's me holding her up..

Cheesy head tilt and all! Try not to be jealous of my paint clothes.

Here's a detail shot:

I may have said this before, but these things really look a lot better in person. Basically, everyone needs to come see these at an art show, or go to Auburn Art, bc I'm taking a mess of them up there for A Day this weekend!

You didn't think I could do a big string art without posing like a cheerleader with a sign, did you?!

Here's the first occurrence from my first big ol' string art:

I have GOT to induct a new paint shirt into my life. This is a t-shirt from high school, and I didn't like the green color, so I made it my paint shirt. Rest assured that I do wash it, but I wear it almost every time I paint or stain something, therefore it's in a lot of bloggie pics.

Ok, one more tree shot!

I'll be headed to Auburn this weekend for a couple of reasons: it's my friend's wedding (YAY!) AND it is also A-Day weekend (Auburn's spring game). I'll be taking several customized string art trees to Auburn Art to sell which is SO exciting, but I'm also sad that it's the final rolling for Toomer's Corner. I'll be staying throughout the next week to see them remove the trees (because I NEED to be there for them.. the trees, that is). I want to cry just thinking about it.. I will be that creep on the corner with my camera, so you'll get to cry right along with me through my pics. Ugh, let's not talk about it anymore until I post it, OK?
